I also flip flop (yours pass muster...no cheap rubbery straps) and I did the sock thing in college. Oh the memory is paining me. It was with Birkenstocks!
Yeah, I only wear my nice ones [the QuikSilver ones actually pictured] to work. I did the sock thing when I first started at MS in 1999...I thought it was cool since so many others were doing it, but I sooned learned the error of my ways. ;-)
