In the latest useless quizzes to make it to my side of the internet, I'm both The Flash and Venom. An interesting battle, but of course I would prefer to be the super hero. :-)

It's hard to believe that I've been doing this for 2 years now.  It started out as justAnotherSE, shortly thereafter changed to justAnotherSDE and a little bit later morphed into dirtyDogStink which I plan to stick with.  Happy anniversary!

Infamous first post. :-)

Just a quick note for those of you who swing by here every now and then...Merry Christmas! And to celebrate the season, I'll share this year's picture of my daughter with 'ol St. Nick.

The funny story behind this year's Santa picture is that my little girl would have absolutely nothing to do with him. She refused to get near him for a solid 10 minutes...even with candy canes and presents as motivation. It just wasn't going to happen. We have used the same local photographer and Santa for the past 3 years and they came through for us yet again. Since my girl wouldn't go near Santa, the photographer took a picture of her sitting on my lap, then one of Santa sitting by himself and then digitally pasted her into his lap. There are a few give-aways in the pic, but overall I'm happy with it. :-D

And here's the real picture of me and my little peanut...I think it's my favorite.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It's been a little quiet around here lately. It's certainly not for a lack of things going on. I was insanely busy at work around Thanksgiving [even worked 2 of my days off over that holiday]. I did buy a Zune on the day it released and would like to write up my impressions [mostly positive]. I've been watching the Seahawks steadily run themselves into the ground which has been pretty depressing. Getting things ready for the holidays with family is also a time consuming thing. All in all, I've been really busy, but that's not the reason I haven't made time for some blogging.

I have been dealing with some dramatic personal issues for the past several months and they finally came to a head recently. I'm not quite ready to disclose what's happened...still way to recent and painful to throw out there for the whole internet. Suffice it to say that I've received awesome support from family (my brother, Mom, Dad, Sharon and my in-laws) and friends (Travis, Kelly, Heather, Stacie, Shashi, Bill, plus many others).

I took a week off just to decompress and it helped tremendously. Now I'm just taking it day-by-day and keeping my focus on my daughter and our future. I'll be back on a regular basis soon, probably after the holidays. Until then, take care...
